EXPERIENCE: Graphic
Artist Tim Talbert graduated as a Visual Arts Major with a concentration in
Commercial Art from Pensacola Christian College in 2001. Upon graduation, he
moved to Morrow, Ohio, to become the staff artist at the Fellowship Tract
League. For the next five years, he was responsible for designing tracts in
more than 70 languages, as well as promotional materials for the ministry,
including the On Tract newsletter, a quarterly, 16-page publication. In July
2007, the Lord led Tim to leave the Fellowship Tract League to begin this
freelance graphic design ministry.
PURPOSE: The ministry derives its purpose from 1 Samuel 16:7, “for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the
LORD looketh on the heart.” While many messages have been delivered on the
fact that the Lord looks on the heart, it is just as true that man looks on
the outward appearance. It is Tim’s goal to produce professionally designed
materials for Independent Baptist ministries in a cost effective manner.
TESTIMONY: I believe that every aspect of art should bring glory to God. Not
all good art will be of Bible illustrations or teachings; however, all art
should be done in such a fashion that the ultimate glory goes to God. Art
should be a reflection of the goodness of God and the beauty of His
creation. I may never be a successful artist in the eyes of the average
person. However, that is not my ultimate goal. I feel that true success will
come if I can look back on my life one day and see that my artwork has been
used to direct people to Christ. If my artwork has pointed even one person
to Christ, my career has been the greatest success imaginable.
I pray that my artwork will always lift up God, not myself. While I realize
my artwork will never be as beautiful as the Master Artist’s, I do want it
to reflect praise and glory to Him.
